June 2015: small is sometimes beautiful ;-)

Just a dozen of us got along to June's session which clashed with distractions such as glorious sunshine and two annual events, Wivenhoe Regatta and Art on the Railings!

We learned songs from the Caribbean and Georgia and our teacher Chris Rowbury's own arrangement of the Marvin Gaye hit, 'Heard it through the grapevine'.

Listen to our recordings here and here are some real Georgians singing Suliko

Chris is back at SingWiv on 12 September after the summer break.

April 2015 & May 2015 recordings

Here are the recordings from SingWiv sessions in April and May this year including songs from Africa, Russia and Devon! We do get about the world at SingWiv.

Last session before the summer break is 6 June, then Chris is back with us on 12 September. Anyone can join in any time, so if you want to try singing in a group just for fun then come along!

January 2015: Tis Not All About The Singing You Know

It's also about the cuppa & chat ;-)

Nearly 30 singers this month, with 12 new faces. We learned 4 new songs from scratch in around 2 hours!

A great start to the Newish Year \o/
